The Beginner DJ Course

This course is ideal for complete beginners and will get you started in the exciting world of DJ’ing and music.

• CD Mixing 101
• Beat matching 101
• DJing Theory
• The History Of DJing
• Basic Technical Theory (Setup, Equalizing, Performance)

The course consists of eight 2-hour sessions (we recommend weekly, but its up to you) and includes a demo mix recording, course material and certificate upon completion.

The Advanced DJ Course

This course is for those who have completed he beginner’s course, or for those already involved in DJ’ing who wish to sharpen their skills.

• How to connect and set up digital with analogue systems
• How to create a set applicable for specific genres and events
• How to EQ and how to apply EQ to certain genres and styles of mixing.

When & Where Are The Lessons?

The lessons are held after hours (no need to skip work or college!) at Luke’s studio in Bromhof, Northern Johannesburg. You choose how often you wish to attend (we recommend weekly lessons for optimal learning) and you decide when you want to start. Because all lessons are one on one, there is no strict time table that you need to adhere to.

Do I Need My Own Equipment?

No, we provide everything you need. You are however welcome to invest in your own gear, which we can provide at a discounted rate as well…

What Are The Entry Requirements?

In order to apply for either course, you need to:

• Have attained at least Matric
• Have a technical mindset
• Have a good ear for music
• Speak fluent English
