When hiring a jukebox for your event, it’s only natural that you have a few questions or concerns. Here are the most commonly asked questions about our jukebox hire service answered.
How loud is the jukebox?
The standard speaker that comes with the jukebox is loud enough for up to 100 guests. The speaker is exactly the same as the ones that our DJs use, which means high quality sound, geared for a party. You won’t be disappointed. Should you want more, you can add additional sound for up to 200 guests at an additional R250 (if you really have to!).
What songs are on the jukebox?

Essentially there is a little bit of everything from the 60s to current hits.
Can you add additional songs on the jukebox?
Yes – provided you have the music on CD or MP3, we can load it on to the jukebox for your function.
Can we add a microphone for speeches?
Yes, you can add a line (corded) microphone or a cordless microphone (costs are on the website).
I’m looking for the old 50’s style jukebox?

I’m having a party out of town – can we take the jukebox with?
The jukebox is lightweight and easy to transport. The console’s dimensions are about 50cmx50cmx50cm, while the speaker is approximately 69cmx44cmx37cm. Keep in mind that if you collect on a Friday and return on a Sunday (or Monday) the cost will be 1.5 times the normal daily rate (e.g., normal daily rate is R1800, so you’ll pay R2700 for the weekend).
Is the jukebox easy to use?
Absolutely – The jukebox comes with comprehensive instruction manual. 5-year olds and 75-year olds operate the machine with equal ease. Please view the video below for an idea of how the jukebox works.
I can’t afford a DJ for my wedding, would the jukebox work, and can you add my first dance song, etc?
Definitely. We can ensure that all your key songs are loaded, and you can just ensure that the songs are played at the right time. With the jukebox you don’t need a DJ. Your guests can select their favourite tracks and the jukebox will just keep playing all night. When no tracks are selected the jukebox will keep playing music at random (which means you literally have a virtual DJ in the house).
What happens when there are no tracks in the playlist?
When there is nothing in the playlist the jukebox will play random tracks. This means that you’ll have no awkward silences, and the party will continue as long as you want to. There’s never a dull moment with the jukebox around!
