When hiring a karaoke machine for your event, it’s only natural that you have a few questions or concerns. Here are the most commonly asked questions about our karaoke hire service answered.

What do I get with the karaoke machine?

The touch-screen karaoke machine, which includes 6,500 karaoke songs, as well as 15,000 normal tracks, a sound system for up to 100 guests, and one standard microphone.

What songs are on the karaoke machine?

You can download a list of karaoke songs by clicking HERE and a list of normal songs by clicking HERE. Essentially, a little bit of everything from the 50s to current music.

Can you add additional songs to the karaoke?

Not at this time. We are however constantly updating the karaoke library. Unfortunately there is quite a delay between the release of actual music and the karaoke version thereof.

Can we add additional microphones to the karaoke (if we want to sing duets or in groups)?

Yes, you can add up to eight microphones (line or cordless) to the karaoke system.

Can I get someone to host the karaoke evening for us?

You can get a professional DJ to run the evening for you. The cost is R2000 for a 6 hour event.

I’m having a party out of town, can we take the karaoke machine with?

The karaoke is lightweight and easy to transport. The karaoke box’s dimensions are about 50cmx50cmx50cm, while the speaker is approximately 69cmx44cmx37cm. Keep in mind that if you collect on a Friday and return on a Sunday (or Monday) the cost will be 1.5 times the normal daily rate (e.g., normal daily rate is R1700; so you’ll pay R2550 for the weekend).

Is the karaoke machine easy to use?

Absolutely – the karaoke machine comes with a comprehensive instruction manual. 5-year olds and 75-year olds operate the machine with equal ease.

Do we need someone to operate the machine?

No. The machine is so easy to operate that you can do everything yourself. It also has the added bonus of having up to 15,000 normal songs, which means you don’t need a DJ on the side (or an iPod or hi-fi) to play normal tracks when people feel like partying when they’re not singing along. Our karaoke machine is an all-rounder and provides entertainment all night long – for everyone.

Can the karaoke microphone be used for speeches?

Yes.
